Walk in through Gate 1 with a REAL ID, U.S. passport, or Enhanced Driver’s License. General public visitation resumed in May 2026. About an 18-minute walk from the house.

City Dock / Ego Alley

Waterfront · Historic District

The heart of downtown Annapolis. The City Dock Resiliency Project has the whole basin under construction from 2026 into early 2028, so expect fencing, detours, and an active work site. Ego Alley still has some open waterfront — boats, ice cream, and the harbor.

Maryland State House

100 State Circle

The oldest state capitol in continuous legislative use, and the only state house that served as the nation’s capitol. Open daily 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. except Christmas and New Year’s Day. Picture ID required.
